The level-set method is an useful technique to solve pde whose domain has a moving boundary and complex shapes [1], because it splits the computational domain in three parts with a closed curve: the interior, the exterior and the boundary. Therefore, it is possible to reduce the size of the linear system to compute the evolution of the pde. Moreover, a multigrid solver can be useful in this context as well, thanks to its adaptabil ity on structured grids, its efficiency on large-scale problems and its flexibility [2]. During this seminar we would like to present you how this approach can be applied in the context of numerical simulations in a general context and in the case of porous media
