Artificial Intelligence (AI) based on Statistical Learning has prevailed over the symbolic logic-based paradigm paving the way for effective data-driven decision-making and policy design. Building on insights from my recent book Fundamentals of Supervised Machine Learning With Applications in Python, R, and Stata (Springer, 2023) and my research on Optimal Policy Learning (OPL), this talk explores two key themes. First, I examine how the Statistical Learning paradigm has outperformed the symbolic logic-based approach in executing intelligent tasks. Second, I present my latest research on Optimal Policy Learning (OPL), introducing the FOSSR Policy Learning Platform and its software implementation, showcasing its practical applications in policy optimization
